One of the mistakes speakers unwittingly make is “giving too much information” during their talk which makes it really hard for their audience to listen. They become overwhelmed with the amount of information and content coming their way and so often tune a speaker out.
Many speakers as well we find, struggle sometimes in knowing what to put in a talk and what to leave out. What should they be talking about?. Which angle to take?
Our head of Speaker Coaching, Mary Tillson, in a half day 121 session with you will explore all your possible content with you, to get a good feeling for your expertise and messages.
She will then share two practical tools with you
a) Critical Questions- which is a brilliant scoping tool to help establish what a client really needs thus enabling you to adapt your talk to their needs. This also increases your personal gravitas with a prospective client!
b) WOMBAT – which is brilliant for structuring your talk based on the results of your scoping and ensures it is relevant, memorable and makes it easy for your audience. A winner!.
Once you have fully developed your talk using the above techniques, she will provide feedback and healthy challenge as relevant.
This can all be done via Zoom or similar or face to face if logistically viable.
"I strongly recommend working with Mary. She helped me as a professional speaker to develop my speaking business. And even more important to me, Mary helped me to be a better speaker and to have more impact with my audiences. Whether your are a professional or occasional speaker, give Mary a chance to help you with her amazing, very practical and (speaker's) life changing tools and insights!" Bruno Marion Speaker
“I have had the pleasure of working with Mary on a number of client events. This has included in my role as a professional public speaker brought in to support her workshops, while I have benefitted greatly from her vast experience when developing and delivering leadership and development events of my own. Her expertise in developing meaningful, impactful and well-planned training and workshop events becomes clear the moment you start to work with her. She played a key role in helping me to stretch myself and deliver a higher quality of event for corporate clients in Europe and North America. At a time when clients are always demanding a high quality of output from events, Mary has the depth of experience and talent necessary to ensure a positive outcome and excellent delegate feedback.” Mark Gallagher Speaker
I have just worked with Mary Tillson on an online course. Have you worked with her yet? You need to - she is brilliant. She gets it. She just seems to know what works, what's right and how to put it all together. Her experience is immense and I highly recommend you talk to her if you're thinking of building speeches, courses or workshops etc. Penny Mallory Speaker
I have enjoyed working with Mary twice so far on developing my speaking business, and I’m certainly looking forward to our continued working relationship. Mainly because she is providing extremely useful content and feedback, and partly because she is fun, supportive and positive to work with. It’s a great time right now (during COVID19) to work on your speaking business, content, delivery, messaging, and Mary is perfectly placed to help with that. Paula Reid Speaker
